The Beginning of a Motorcycle Love Story
Don't wait for someone to take you for a ride, ride your own
~Unknown
Riding a motorbike has always been a dream and desire for me. Growing up in a small country town living across the road from a pub and just down the road we had Macquarie Pass to ride and drive up and down. Watching what looked like hundreds of motorbike riders each weekend ride up the pass to have lunch at the pub. This was excitement! As kids we would hear the bikes and stand out the front of our parents shop to watch them arrive. The sound the happiness and the freedom.
This was the beginning of a Motorcycle Love Story
My ex husband and I owned a few bikes but I was always on the back, (reason for the opening quote) which was fun but not the goal. Finally, at the begin of 2022, I went for my learners and have been enjoying riding my own ever since. I ride a Kawasaki ZZR 250 her name is Ava. Which means bird or birdlike, and to me, that is a very fitting name for that time of my life I was going through, needing freedom and change.
Ava was my eldest son's first motorbike and he kept her for me after upgrading to a GSXR 650.
Here I will share my adventures with you, tips I've learnt along the way and new things I am learning. I look forward to hearing about your adventures, what you have lernt, what sparked your passion for riding and, anything else bike related you would like to share.
